11 Days Srinagar, Kargil & Leh

Day 01: ARRIVE SRINAGAR

Arrive Srinagar & check in at Houseboat. Check in Hotel upon arrival. Evening enjoy shikara ride on Dal Lake. Overnight stay at Houseboat.

 

Day 02: SRINAGAR – GULMARG – SRINAGAR

After Breakfast, check out from the Houseboat & drive to Gulmarg. Enjoy Sledge riding on snow or Gandola ride uptoKhilanmarg to enjoy the fascinating view of Peerpanchal range. Overnight stay at Hotel.

 

Day 03: SRINAGAR – PAHALGAM

After Breakfast, check out from the Houseboat & drive to Pahalgam(Valley of Shepherds). Enroute visit Saffron fields, Anantnag Sulphur Springs. A trip to Chandanwari or Aru is recommended (only local vehicles would go to these places). Overnight stay at Hotel.

 

Day 04: PAHALGAM – SRINAGAR

After Breakfast, check out from the Hotel & drive to Srinagar. Arrive & Check in at Hotel. Later proceed for sightseeing tour of Mughal Gardens visiting NishantBagh& Shalimar Bagh. Overnight stay at Hotel. 

 

Day 05: SRINAGAR – SONMARG – KARGIL

After Breakfast, check out from the Hotel & drive to Kargil. Drive Pass Sonmarg&Drass Valley. Check in at Hotel upon arrival. Overnight stay at Hotel.

 

Day 06: KARGIL – LEH

After Breakfast, drive to Leh. ArriveLeh& Check in at Hotel. Evening free for leisure & own activities.Overnight stay at Hotel.

 

Day 07: LEH(EXCURSION TO MONASTRIES)

After breakfast, full day excursion to Monasries visiting Shey, Thiksey&Hemis. Shey was the summer Palace of Ladakhi Kings and is where you can see the 36Ft. high statue of Buddha made of copper and covered with gold. Thicksey : The twelve storied monastery of Thicksey is situated in the most prominent of positions, lies on an island Mountain. Finally visit; Hemis : Farthest away from Leh, this is the wealthiest Monastery in Ladakh belonging to the Red Sect – it is here each summer that plays are held and Ladakhis from all parts of the country will visit Hemis. Evening return to Leh.Overnight stay at Leh.

 

Day 08: LEH – PANGONG LAKE – LEH

Early morning full day excursion to Pangong Lake, 4400m east of Leh crossing Chngla Pass 17500ft and driving via Durbuk and Tangtse villages in the Changthang region of Ladakh and perhaps one of the most amazing lakes in Asia which changes its color 4 – 5 times a day. Evening return back to Leh.Overnight at the Hotel.

 

Day 09: LEH – KHANDRUNGLA TOP – NUBRA VALLEY

After an early breakfast we drive to Nubra Valley. Enroute visit KHARDUNG-LA-PASS (the highest motorable road in the world) at 18,390 ft. Nubra Valley is popularly known as Ldorma or the valley of flowers. It is situated to the North of Ladakh between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges of the Himalayas. ArriveHunder& Check in at Hotel/Camps. Later visit Diskit Village & enjoy the Camel ride st Sand dunes. Overnight at Hotel/Camp.

 

Day 10: NUBRA VALLEY – LEH

After breakfast, drive to Leh by same route via Khardungla. Check in at Hotel upon arrival. Evening visit Leh Market for Shopping.Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 11:DEPARTURE LEH

After Breakfast, check out from the Hotel & transfer to Leh Airport.
