Day 01: Arrival Cochin

Welcome for a Kerala Tour.  On your arrival at cochin airport  our representative heartily greets you  and transfer you to the prebooked hotel in Cochin. Cochin

Cochin is a very important port city of Kerala – The God’s Own Country. Located about 220 kilometers from Thiruvananthapuram in Ernakulam district, Kochin – the second largest city of the state is entitled as the ‘Queen of the Arabian Sea’. Endowed with a long coast line of 48 kilometers, Kochi is blessed with peerless natural beauty augmented by various beaches. At arrival check in at cochin hotel, freshen up and enjoy welcome drink at the comfort of your room.

After relaxing, go for a half day sightseeing to Cochin, to visit Dutch Palace , St.Francis church, Chinese fishing net &  fort kochi.

Dutch Palace is located at the Palace Road of Mattancherry of cochin.Ttwo shrines of Lord Krishna and Lord Shiva has been set on the sides of the palace. Other exhibits of the Dutch Palace, include  life size portraits of King of cochin, an ivory palanquin, royal umbrellas, a howdah, royal clothes, coins, stampsetc.

Chinese fishing net Located at Fort Kochi and visible from Marine Drive too, Chinese Fishing Nets or Cheena Vala is an unusual and unique technique of fishing operated from the shore without going into the water.  Kochi is the only place in the whole world where Chinese Fishing Nets are seen in use outside China. Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Cochin.

Day 02 : Cochin to Munnar

Morning after breakfast drives towards Munnar(153Kms/ 5hrs).

Munnar meaning “Three rivers” is situated at the confluence of three mountain streams Muthirappu (Kannimalayar), Nallathanni and Kundala and is a delightful, small hill station. Munnar is at an altitude of 6000 ft from sea level located in Idukki district. The temperature ranges between 5 °C (41 °F) to 25 °C (77 °F) in winter, and 15 °C (59 °F) to 25 °C (77 °F) in summer. There are various tropical plantations of tea, coffee, cardamom and other  spices, dense forests and wildlife sanctuaries.

At arrival check in Munnar hotel, freshen up and enjoy welcome drink at the comfort of your room. Afternoon enjoy leisure time at the hotel enjoying the scenic beauty of munnar. Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Munnar.

Day 03Munnar Sightseeing

After breakfast, we  move for sightseeing of Munnar, to visit Mattupetty, Rajamalai National Park, and Top Station.

Mattupetty is extremely picturesque hill station, situated at an altitude of 1700meters. It is 13 km away from Munnar.

Rajamalai National Park (Eravikulum National Park) is situated in Idduki, the bordering district of Kerela and Tamil Nadu. Some of the rare animal species can be found here is, Elephant, Nilgiri langur, Nilgiri marten, small-clawed otter and a rare tiger or leopard and the Nilgiri wood pigeon etc.

Top Station  is house of some of the highest tea plantation in India. Located at a distance of 41km from Munnar and is at an altitude of 1700 meters. Later return back to the hotel in time. Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Munnar.

 

Day 04 : Munnar to Thekkady

After breakfast , move to Thekkady (120 Kms / 4 Hrs). Check into Hotel at Thekkady.

Thekkady is one of the major wildlife destinations of South India. Located near the border town of Kerela and Tamil Nadu called Kumily,  Located around 4000ft above sea level.  Thekkady is about 257 km or 160 miles from Trivandrum. Nestled in the lap of nature, Thekkady is home to lush greenery, pristine and verdant landscape, picturesque and serene lakes and a rich wildlife heritage. Thekkady allows its visitors to monitor wildlife at a very close range.

 After refreshing , visit to Periyar National Park  , Periyar Tiger Reserve.

Periyar National Park is the  place of Thekkady flaunts one of the most rich and diversified bio-diversity spots in India  It encompasses an area of about 777 square kilometers and showcases various rare and endangered species like the tiger and the Asiatic lion.  The wildlife Sanctuary was declared a Tiger Reserve in 1978 and is also home to a wide variety of animals like herds of elephants, sambar, tigers, gaur, lion-tailed Macaques and Nilgiri Langurs.

Periyar Tiger Reserve :The Periyar Tiger Reserve is one of the 27 illustrious tiger reserves in India. Managed and maintained with zeal and competence, the reserve offers competence, the reserve offers home and a place of repose to the endangered species of tigers. Spread over an area of around 77 square kilometers. Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Thekkedy .

 

Day 05: Thekkady to Kumarakom

After breakfast, drive to Kumarakom (180 Kms and 5 Hrs drive).

Kumarakom is a tourist village and in fact a cluster of little beautiful islands on the eastern banks of the Vembanadu Lake. It is 15 kilometers away from Kottyam town. The place Kumarakom is filled with the real beauty of Kerala with mangrove forests, lush green paddy fields, waterways, canals etc. Kumarakom is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna.

On arrival at Kumarakom  the Kumarakom  Bird  Sanctuary,  Vembanad Lake, Pathiramanal, Bay Island Driftwood Museum.

Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary: Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary located on the banks of the Vembanad Lake near the celebrated Kumarakom Backwaters is a beloved haunt of migratory birds and a heaven for the ornithologists. Spread over an extensive area of 14 acres on the southern banks of a river named Kavanar, this bird sanctuary has a well laid down paths that lead us around. The major attraction of the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary is a number of local as well as migratory birds spotted here such as cuckoo, waterfowl, owl, heron, egret, cormorant, darter, moorhen, Brahminy kite, duck, parrot, lark, teal, flycatcher, Siberian crane and so on.

Vembanad Lake: Spanning over several districts of Kerala and known by an assortment of names at various places, Vembanad Lake is the largest lake of the state and the longest of the country India. The Vembanad Wetland System covering the total area of about 2033.02 square kilometers happens to be the largest India wetland system. At its widest point, the Vembanad Lake is approximately 14 kilometers wide. Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Kumarakom.

Day 06: Kumarakom to Alleppey

 Enjoy the hearty breakfast at the hotel. Later drive down to Alleppey (185 Kms / 5 Hrs).

 Alleppey is a scenic town known for its outstanding backwater, beach and natural appeal. Alleppey is also famous for its Boat races, Houseboat Holidays, Beaches, Marine Products and Coir Industry.

 On arrival check in at the houseboat/ hotel. Enjoy the scenic beauty. Overnight stay will be at the Houseboat/ Hotel.

Day 07: Alleppey – Cochin (Departure)

Morning enjoy the breakfast on the houseboat/ hotel. Later check out from the houseboat/hotel and our representative takes you towards the Cochin airport (100 km /2 hrs) / Railway station for onwards journey. In this way Munnar and the houseboat tour Kerala ends giving exciting memories to relish in for lifelong.

Munnar 2 NT – Alleppey 1 NT – Kovalam 2 NT

Day 04 : Allepey to Kovalam

Check out time form Houseboat/ hotel. After check out drives to Kovalam

Kovalam means a “grove of coconut trees”, Kerela, God’s own country, that houses this beautiful beach resort, has a number of other things to offer. Located at a distance of 20 Kms from Trivandrum, the beach of Kovalam is a treat for the naturalists and environmentalists. The crescent-shaped beach has three parts. The southern most beach, and the most popular, is light house beach.  Swimming in the deep blue sea, water surfing, skiing and kayaking are some of the water sports that Kovalam promises to its visitors

On arrival check in at the hotel, get fresh. Afternoon is at leisure and Evening will be free for personal activity. Overnight stay will be at Hotel in Kovalam.

 

Day 05: Kovalam

Morning after breakfast, we  move for sightseeing of Lighthouse Beach , Pamanabhaswami Temple , Thiruvallam Parashurama Temple. 

Lighthouse Beach  is located on the southernmost part of the beach resort of Kovalam. The 35 meters tall lighthouse is beautifully painted in red and white and is clearly visible from almost all the corners of the beach. You can even indulge in refreshing Ayurvedic massages, sunbathing, water surfing and all sorts of adventurous water sports in the Light house Beach. The lighthouse road is also convenient for long leisurely walks and cycling.

Thiruvallam Parashurama Temple  is located almost 12 kilometers away from Kovalam. This is perhaps the only temple of the Hindus that is dedicated to Parashurama. The temple is located on the banks of the river Karamana and is believed to be around 2000 years old. Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Kovalam.

Day 06: Kovalam to Trivandrum/ Cochin Departure

After breakfast time is free till your flight / train time. Transfer you to airport/ railway station for your further destination. In this way Kerala tour ends giving exciting memories to relish in for lifelong.

DAY 01 – DELHI TO SHIMLA

Arrive Delhi and transfer by road to Shimla (343 Kms / 8 hrs) the former summer capital of British India, set amidst the snow capped Shivalik Mountains which offers some of the most stunning views of the mighty Himalayas. Overnight stay at hotel.

DAY 02 – SHIMLA

Morning tour of Shimla – Kalbadevi Temple, Jakhu Temple, Hanuman Temple or stop for a while at the beautiful stained – glass – windows of Christ Church, which was built in the 1850 ‘s. Afternoon excursion to Kufri a 30 Minutes drive from Shimla, an exotica of nature as a place surrounded by dense forest and snow caped mountains amidst virgin peaks and natures flora and fauna where one can completely relax and tune oneself for natural beauty, evening free to enjoy the scenic beauty of Kufri. Overnight at Hotel.

DAY 03 – SHIMLA TO MANALI

In the morning drive to Manali a 7/8 Hours drive take you to the valley of Gods, is a combination of natural splendor and rich cultural heritage. On arrival check-in at the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at the hotel

DAY 04 – MANALI

Morning proceed for a half day tour of Manali visiting Hadimba Devi Temple – built in the tranquil and serene woods, Vashisth Bath, Tibetan Monastery, and Roerich art Gallery. In the afternoon half day tour of Naggar Castle and local Bazaar. Return to the hotel for Overnight stay.

DAY 05 – MANALI 

Full day tour of Rohtang Pass  (AT OWN COST) – The majesty of the mountains and the glaciers can be seen at their best; you have next two hours to enjoy this snowy haven. Take a sledge ride down the slopes, try your luck climbing the little snow hills. On you’re descents to Manali, halt at the Rahalla falls and Solang Valley. The Magnificent views and natural beauty are a never-ending source of delight. Also halt at Marhi, Ralha falls, Nehru Kund. Return to the hotel for Overnight stay.

DAY 06 – MANALI TO DHARAMSHALA

After breakfast drive to Dharamshala. Arrive Dharamshala and check in at hotel. After you will visit Baijnath – the oldest existing Shiva temple in the country, War Memorial, Kanga Art Museum, Dally Lake, McLeodganj, St. Johns Church etc. Overnight at the Hotel.

DAY 07 – DHARAMSHALA TO DALHOUSIE

Morning after breakfast departs for Dalhousie (4 hrs.). Situated at 2039 mts in the outer slope s of the Dhaula Dhar range with its natural beauty and natural surroundings. On arrival check- in at the hotel. Rest of the day for leisure and shopping. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 08 – DALHOUSIE

Full day sightseeing to Khajjiar, 18 Kms from. Dalhousie. Its one of the most scenic saucer shaped Plateau and is surrounded by dense pine and deodar forests, its beauty has further been enhanced by a small lake in the center with a floating island and 9-hole golf course here are the other interesting places to cover. Return to Dalhousie and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 09 – DALHOUSIE TO AMRITSAR

After Breakfast we checkout from Dalhousie and proceed for Amritsar by road on arrival checkin at hotel and later visit Indo-Pak Wagah Border to watch Flag Retreat Ceremony- Wagah, an army outpost on Indo-Pak border 30 Kms from Amritsar where the daily highlight is the evening “Beating the Retreat” ceremony. Soldiers from both countries march in perfect drill, going through the steps of bringing down their respective national flags. As the sun goes down, nationalistic fervour rises and lights are switched on marking the end of the day amidst thunderous applause. Return to hotel. Overnight stay in Amritsar.

DAY 10 – AMRITSAR

After breakfast. Start your full day city tour with the blessings of Golden Temple-the most important sikh shrine which is also called Mecca for the Sikhs is a living symbol of the spiritual and historical traditions of the Sikhs.
Then visit Jallianwala Bagh- where, on April 13, 1919, British and Gurkha soldiers opened fire on an unarmed forbidden gathering, killing hundreds of civilians. After lunch visit Maharaja Ranjit Singh Summer Palace Museum- The summer place of Maharaja Ranjit Singh which is situated in the heart of Ram Bagh, Amritsar. Overnight at Amritsar.

DAY 11 – AMRITSAR TO CHANDIGARH

After breakfast we checkout from hotel and proceed for Chandigarh by Road (06hrs.) before checkin to hotel we proceed for Rose Garden & Rock Garden. Night Checkin at Hotel . Overnight at Chandigarh

DAY 12 – CHANDIGARH TO DELHI 

Today after breakfast we proceed for Pinjore Garden and later we proceed for Delhi. Drop at Railway Station / Airport. TOUR END
